Dr. Dubois obtained his Ph.D. from University of Montreal in 1994 working on laser generation of ultrasound in composite materials. He then joined the National Research Council of Canada where he developed laser-ultrasonic techniques for the characterization of steel microstructure and kinetics at high temperatures. In 1998, he joined the General Electric Company at its research center in New-York state where he led efforts on advanced technologies for the laser-ultrasonic inspection of composites for the aeronautic industry in collaboration with Lockheed Martin Aeronautics. In 2005, he went to work directly with the LaserUT® team at Lockheed Martin Aeronautics in Fort Worth, Texas. Dr. Dubois contributed numerous technical papers and patents, mostly in the laser-ultrasonic field.
He is now the co-founder of iPhoton Solutions, a company dedicated to the design, construction, and sale of industrial laser-ultrasonic systems for the inspection of composites. Dr. Dubois authored several publications and contributed numerous patents.
