Walter "Buddy" Jeter is the new NDT Instructor for the Tarrant County Community College NDT Program. He is an ASNT Level III in Ultrasonics, Liquid Penetrant, Magnetic Particle and Eddy Current. He was the Responsible Level III for GE Power globally for 8.5 years, the Corporate Level III for Aurora Flight Sciences in West Virginia for 8 years and a Level III inspector for ATK for 5 years. Speaker: Dr. David Jack - Baylor University

Topic: Composite NDT Research at Baylor University

Dr. David Jack is a Professor in Mechanical Engineering at Baylor University. He has B.S. degrees in Physics and in Mechanical Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines, an M.S. degree in Applied Mathematics and an M.S. and Ph.D. in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from the University of Missouri, each while maintaining a 4.0 GPA. As a faculty member for just over ten years David has been awarded $12,250,000 as P.I. and $990,000 as co-PI in research funding, of which $1.9M is tuition cost matching provided by Baylor University, while publishing over 30 archival journal articles, more than 85 refereed-national and international conference articles, three patents with eight patents pending in a program that until fall of 2014 did not offer a doctoral degree. His expertise is in constitutive modeling and the resulting experimental validation for complex material behavior such as that observed in polymers and various composite structures. His work has yielded methods to correlate the microstructure with the macroscopic material response, non-destructive methods for quantifying the internal microstructure, and has generated novel physics-based models impacting industries from aerospace to automotive. Funding has come from NSF, Ford, AFOSR, Sandia National Lab, Oak Ridge National Lab, Hess, L3 Harris, NNSA, Baylor University, SPE, Axion, Verifi Technologies, LeMond Bicycles, SPE, and Delta-G Design.

Apr 20 - Tuesday
Speaker: Roger Walters - Self-Employed NDT Level III

Topic: A Practical Approach to NDT Statistics

Roger Walters has been continuously engaged in nondestructive testing in the North Texas area since the 1960s. Historically, Roger has been employed by General Dynamics, Bell Helicopter, Brown and Root (Commanche Peak Nuclear Station), Trinity Industries, various independent testing labs, and he's covered five states as an NDT equipment technical sales representative.
